Preparing for the Jamboree

Hello one and all! This is the first official post for our blog. My name is Robert Maynard, Jr., or RJ, and I will be co-authoring this blog with Michael Hattayer.

The Connecticut Rivers Council departs at 6:00 AM on Saturday, and we will be traveling to the Jamboree over the following two days. On Monday, July 26, 2010, after stopping in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., we will arrive at the National Boy Scouts of America Jamboree, which is being held this year to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in America.

Michael and I will be publishing an article or two throughout the course of the Jamboree in the Norwich Bulletin, and we will be updating the blog once or twice a day.

Wish us luck at the Jamboree as we take part in this once in a lifetime event!

-RJ
