Last Day in Connecticut

In 12 hours, I will be at Rentschler Field with my gear and ready to go. My bags are packed, my laptop charged, and my excitement growing. At 6:00 AM sharp, the buses will leave and within a few hours our tour of Philadelphia will begin. On Sunday morning, we will be leaving early again to head to Washington, D.C., where we will tour the Smithsonian and other exhibits there. Additionally, we will be seeing a condensed version of the American Revolution, and will tour the Lincoln Memorial. On Monday, we will be off to the Jamboree!

I am extremely excited! I realized just this morning that the National Jamboree isn't just "that thing I'm going to this summer." Now, it's here, and after a year and half of planning, working on things for the Jamboree troop, and completing requirements to attend the Jamboree, I realize that I am anxious and a little scared, but prepared to take on the challenge. I also realized that 11 days worth of gear can be very heavy!
