Day 2 - Washington DC

Well, im going to have to summarize this post for now (i'll edit it later) as Jamborees in a few hours, im tired, and my USB keyboard is in my duffle bag (which are in the bus) as It doesnt fit in my laptop case.

Today was actually really fun (in my opinion way more fun then yesterday) because of the places with AC we went today!

First, we went to Arlington Cemetary to observe the graves and watch a reeactment (sorry, dont know much about what it was about.. It was crowded.). It was really cool seeing the soldiers that we're doing the reenactment, and the fact it was near shade was really fun too.

After this, we took a ride to the Smithsonian Air and Space musuem. The line to get in was long but well worth it. Once inside, everyone rushed to the foodcourt and were told to meet back up at 5:30 for our departure. Some of the highlights were the Aircraft Simulator and a Moon Rock we were allowed to touch. There were many more musuems around us, such as the Smithsonian American Indian musuem which was pretty cool. Sadly, transportation between musuems fell short as a tornado warning popped up and everyone was refused exit due to the bad weather. With the storm subsiding after an hour, the sheltering was called off and anyone was free to exit. In this time I checked out the Indian musuem and got some food, then we departed.

From the Smithsonian, we went to see a few places, including the Vietnam war memorial and the Lincoln memorial. After all the excitement, we said goodbye to our awesome tour guide Mike and headed off to the hotel.

I might add some more details in later, but it is infact very late and I should be getting to sleep. Goodnight and hello jambo!
